THE SCHOOL OF ASPEN SANTA FE BALLET - ASPEN

The School of Aspen Santa Fe Ballet, under the direction of Melanie Doskocil, is committed to providing the finest classical ballet training. As the official school of Aspen Santa Fe Ballet, a not-for-profit cultural organization, we are proud to be affiliated with an internationally recognized and critically acclaimed dance company. Students are taught in small classes in a supportive environment that fosters confidence and individual accomplishment as well as technique and artistry. Members of the professional company as well as world-renown master teachers are invited to teach in our school throughout the year.

The School of Aspen Santa Fe Ballet is committed to providing our students a diverse multi-disciplinary dance curriculum. Classical ballet is the foundation for many types of dance and today's dancer must be proficient in many styles of dance. In addition to ballet, we offer workshops in jazz and modern dance throughout the year.

PERFORMANCE OPPORTUNITIES

In addition to classroom work, students are given opportunities to perform in our annual recital in the spring and in Aspen Santa Fe Ballet's production of The Nutcracker, at Aspen District Theatre, alongside professional dancers. We consider performance opportunities a valuable part of training and invaluable to the growth of the student; developing stage presence, musicality, discipline and confidence.
